Hey Everyone! ! In honour of Octoberbeing Autism and ADHD Awareness month in Canada, SciMedinAction has one last treat for you!
On October 29, Dr. Sonia Adnan (@autismlifegram.md ) will takeover our Instagram account to talk about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and answer any questions you may have. This is a ‼️Q&A takeover‼️ She will explore what ASD is from a patient perspective. She will cover topics such as the process of diagnosis/treatment and day to day struggles of Autism and more! It is important to understand these processes as people who consider pursuing a field in science or medicine. This takeover can show us the realities of the condition and help us become more compassionate and understanding towards ASD.
Dr. Sonia Adnan is a physician and a mother of two, one with autism. She currently practices internal medicine in the United States of America. Sonia’s focuses besides medicine are parenting, autism awareness, disability advocacy and feminism.
